History
While both working in the construction industry, Shannon Creson and Dave Shupe met even though their roles were very different, their goals were the same. Drill Tech’s early years were filled with tireless workdays and sleepless nights. Ann and Thea, their significant others, soon joined the business to handle the behind the scenes work. As Drill Tech began gaining momentum, the need for growth was inevitable. They hired people who quickly became vital to the success of Drill Tech.
What started out as
a small family business has increased tremendously to include employees that are now considered family. The Cresons’ and Shupes’ sons have worked their way from shop sweepers to highly skilled foremen, machinists and equipment designers. Throughout the years, our employees have continued to propel Drill Tech to success, making it the nationwide company it is today.
As Drill Tech has expanded
Shannon and Dave's roles have shifted. With Shannon now focusing on the daily operations-bidding, estimating and engineering-as well as increasing the reach across the country, while Dave is now focused on the shop, mechanics and equipment, including designing our specialty drill rigs. Ann and Thea have maintained their positions and continue to be an integral part of the company.
Today, Drill Tech’s offices
have expanded to include Texas, Colorado, Kansas and Maryland, with our team having grown to well over 500 employees, who help us every day to secure our place as a leader in specialty geotechnical construction.
